Time really does fly!

Its hard to believe we already are into November, and winter is right around the corner. Looking to the start of my blog, I had first read Bill Cosby's autobiography "Time Flies." Indeed it has! Sometimes it drives me crazy how I can get caught up in so much commotion at school and let time sneak right past me. One thing Bill talked about was how he was a young, athletic man constantly on the run, and in the blink of an eye he became the old man he thought he could never be. In a way, I feel the same these days. Not that I am falling apart or becoming senile, but that younger people around me are getting older. I still can not get a grasp on the idea that my younger brother is driving, and soon graduating. overall, reading Cosby's book has helped me take a step back and realize that I am getting older and need to accept the changing times.

  1. And, if you hadn't read Crosby, you wouldn't have been in the position to think that thought in that moment. The power of a text, fiction or non-fiction is in settling ourselves with time and inclination to encounter those ideas. And to wonder, what's waiting around the bend.
